Everest (8848 m) is the main peak of the Himalayas and the highest mountain in the world. It is located on the border between China and Nepal. Like a giant pyramid, the tall and majestic Everest attracts explorers from all over the world. The Tibetan Everest Base Camp, located at an altitude of 5,200 meters at the foot of Rongbei Glacier, is a protection zone established to observe the core area of Mount Everest. Due to the serious environmental pollution caused by tourists, the local government closed Everest Base Camp indefinitely from January 2019. Now, the highest point that tourists can arrive at is the Rongbu Monstery with an altitude of 5154 meters. Built-in 1899, the Rongbu Temple where monks and nuns live together belongs to the Ningma Sect of Tibetan Buddism. Because of about 20 kilometers away from the summit of Mount Everest, the landscape here is amazing and it is also an excellent place to watch and take photos of Mount Everest.
