Known as “Little Guilin of Yunnan”, Puzhehei Scenic Area is located in Qiubei County, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, 360 kilometers away from Kunming.
“Puzhehei” in the Yi language, means “the pond teeming with fish and shrimp”. With an area of 165 square kilometers, the scenic area is famous for its karst scenery, and colorful ethnic culture. Tourists could take a traditional canoe, which was made by the Yi people, to admire the natural lakes, karst caves, and clusters of limestone peaks. After the tour, you can easily find inns with traditional ethnic characteristics like Yi, Zhuang, etc. It provides you an opportunity to know more habits and customs of locals, who always smile and are enthusiastic.
The most recommended visiting time is from June to August, because the blooming lotus flowers and boundless lotus leaves, enhancing the picturesque scenery.
