Lincang
Lincang named for its proximity to the Lancang River is bounded with Myanmar in the southwest. It belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate and the temperature difference between the four seasons is not large so praised as the “Asia Constant Temperature City”. As the largest black tea production base in China, Lincang is one of the birthplaces of the Wa culture, inhabiting 23 ethnic groups.
Weng Ding is a primitive Wa village for 400 years history with 98 households more than 400 people. Known as “the last primitive tribe of China”, it was listed on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List in 2006 and a must-visit place to learn about the Wa.
