Shigu

Jinsha River, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, entered Yunnan from the northwest. After arriving at Shigu Town in Lijiang, there was a sudden sharp turn of more than 140 degrees, to the northeast, forming a rare V-shaped big bay, which is named “the first bend of the Yangtze River”.

Shigu Town has historically been an important military place and it is said that Zhuge Liang and the Mongolian Army chose Shigu as the place to cross the Jinsha River. The drum-shaped white marble stone monument, the quaint iron rope bridge, the Red Army Crossing River Monument, and the idyllic scenery of Shigu are all the reasons for your visit.
