Fuxian Lake

Fuxian Lake is located in Chengjiang City, more than 70 kilometers away from Kunming. With an area of about 210 square kilometers, it is the third-largest lake in Yunnan Province after Dianchi Lake and Erhai Lake. Fuxian Lake is also one of the largest freshwater reservoirs in the country, with a water storage capacity equivalent to 13 Dianchi Lakes and 7 Erhai Lakes. Because the lake water is crystal clear, it was called “a large area of glazed glass” by the ancients.

As an emerging one-day holiday resort, besides retaining traditional scenic areas on the west bank, such as Gushan Island and other attractions, Fuxian Lake has also developed new scenic spots on the northeast and north banks in recent years, such as Maotianshan Geological Parks, Moon Bay Wetland Park, etc., and the scenery is more beautiful, and the holiday experience is better. If you choose to stay here for one night and walk on the beach, it will feel like in Sanya and Southeast Asia.

Fuxian Lake, like Kunming, has a mild climate all year round. The rainy season is from July to August, so had better avoid a visit during this period.
