When to hike in Yunnan?

We recommend that you do the hikes in spring (March to June) and autumn (October to early November). The weather is nice and pleasant, the landscapes are magnificent at this time of year.

It is better to avoid summer, it is the rainy season in Yunnan, the trails are getting slippery, and dangerous to hike.

In winter (November to February), it is possible to hike along the Yangtze, especially from the Tiger Leaping Gorges to Lugu Lake, At altitudes between 1900 m and 2600 m, the climate is not too cold in winter.
